Can you explain the process from start to job completion?
Sure! First is your consultation. Here we’ll listen to your ideas and discuss possible solutions. Then we’ll produce your design/quote. Once the design/quote is accepted we secure a start date and collect the 50% deposit. The final walkthrough is performed upon completion of the project. At this time we’ll also collect final payment and present you with a post-installation maintenance plan.
Do you warranty your plants?
Yes, if you have an irrigation system. All plant material has a specific watering requirement in order to thrive, and we can only guarantee that with an irrigation system coupled with A Cut Above’s watering schedule. However, we do handle warranties on a case by case basis. It’s important to us that your plants not only survive, but thrive. We work closely with all clients in ensuring the plants are getting the proper amount of water. Technological advancements have made it pretty easy to setup temporary watering systems. We’ll review these options depending on your site/plant requirements and come up with a good plan.
Do you add soil when installing plants?
Yes. All we use high quality planting soil for all installations. The quality of the soil surrounding plants is a big part of their success plan. If it’s a newly created planting bed we’ll probably need to add a decent amount of quality soil. If it’s an existing bed we still add the soil, but less is usually needed.
Who supply’s our plants?
We have relationships with multiple suppliers in our area and usually use multiple vendors for a single project. Please let us know and we’d be more than happy to send over details about the specific suppliers for your project.
How do you handle post installation watering?
Post installation watering is a critical part of promoting a healthy growing environment. We highly recommend irrigation systems but also realize that some properties don’t have them. If you don’t have a sprinkler system, we’ll work with you in determining the best way to ensure the plants get watered properly. One solution would be to install temporary above ground sprinklers, which can be set up to hose bibs with timers on them. We have documentation for properly scheduling an irrigation system
What Should I Expect Before The Service?
After the design is approved and the deposit is accepted, you’ll receive an email notification with the scheduled job date. We then send a second notification once your job has been Dispatched (usually 24 hours before the service). You’ll also receive a notification if this changes (usually due to weather). Upon completion of the service you’ll receive an email with details about the completed service and also an area for you to submit your thoughts/concerns to our office for review.
