What does a One Time Cleanup include?
Weeding and re-edging of existing flower beds, trimming of shrubs/hedges, fresh mulch applied, leaf/small debris removal (pre-emergent herbicide is applied to flower beds before mulching).
How many inches (depth) of mulch are installed?
Our goal is to install between 1″-2″ of fresh mulch during our cleanups. If you go too deep with the mulch it can damage the plant material, and if it’s too thin it won’t provide enough protection. 1″-2″ is generally accepted as standard for our area (See the USDA Plant Hardiness Map).
Do you trim the trees on the property too?
Anything over 12′ tall is considered “Tree Work” and we unfortunately don’t have the equipment/skills necessary at this time to handle it safely. We can help you find a tree contractor.
How Do We Know The Service Date?
We send email notifications with your scheduled job date soon after signup.
Do You Need To Be Home For The Service?
No, you don’t have to be home. Most of our clients are not home when their services are performed. Special requests are documented beforehand and relayed to the crew leaders via their smartphone app. If you prefer to be home when the service is performed, please let us know and we’ll arrange for the crew leader to walk the property with you upon arrival.
What Happens After The Cleanup Service Is Completed?
The crew updates their smartphones when the service is completed, and then we send you an email notification with details.
Do You Mow The Grass During A Cleanup?
No. The Cleanups are designed to take care of the mulch beds and are not designed for the turf areas. You can request a one time mow during the cleanup upon signup and we’ll update your quoted price.
Did You Know?
We offer brown colored mulch, which keeps its color longer due to the high quality colorant that our suppliers use. It’s both non-toxic and environmentally safe. It’s shipped straight from WV to our shop. Also, existing bed edges are re-edged to a depth of 2-3″, which has been proven to be the best depth for water drainage and appearance.
How Does Billing Work?
One Time Cleanups are billed separately and we take a 50% deposit and collect the remainder upon completion. We charge the payment method saved on file in our secure client portal (loaded upon signup)
